That other announcement!
I talked to our new landlord and it looks like we won't be moving until April 1. I'm a little bit bummed because I wanted to be in there by now, but it does give me some time to work on some other projects, and I'm sure it will work out for the best. I know that some of you are very interested in full size jars of the Love Lure- and I'm going to try to squeeze it onto the shelves this week for you- so it should be for sale by Friday.
I left you with a bit of a clifhanger the other day, and it's time to make the other announcement! This one doesn't have a lot to do with makeup, but I think it's pretty cool.
Being earth friendly is really important to me- not just in the business, but in life. As a natural products company we have a big interest in keeping the earth as clean as possible- and we have always been pretty good citizens of the earth. We reduce, reuse and recycle where ever we can- your packages are walked to the post office, we have special lighting fixtures, we use organic ingredients whenever possible, and all of our cleaning supplies are biodegradable and non-toxic (we use gallons of them every month- so that's really important).
We recycle so much that we only produce one bag of trash every 2 weeks- which I think is pretty good considering how many products we produce, and that we do have to use things like paper towels and rubber gloves to ensure your health and safety.
Still, we produce about 15 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions- mainly from shipping (planes produce a lot of CO2), a little bit for the electric that we use, and a little bit for commuting to work. In order to lessen our impact on the planet I purchased carbon credits from Terrapass to offset those emissions.
Carbon credits are really cool- they take the money that we give them and they invest it in clean energy projects- like windmills- so our company has zero net impact on global warming. To my knowledge we are the only mineral makeup company that does this.
What does that mean for you? It means that when you purchase products from us that you are helping to make the world a little bit nicer.
